I HATE insurance companies!!!

I posted this on my Facebook today. Just thought I would post it here, as a warning to all. Also, does anyone know of an insurance company that offers agreed value policies on manufactured homes? I want ALL of my insurance needs moved away from State Farm, but have a policy with them for my home that is grandfathered in.

My Facebook post:

"Its a crying shame to have to end dealings with a business, that you have dealt with for over 30yrs.... and take your business elsewhere. I keep hearing about how we should do our business local. Well, the local businesses need to get off their ass and do something to warrant me giving them my business. ****ing me over and screwing me out of money and lying to me, is NOT the way to keep my business.

When I bought my boat, I went into Jim Ledbetters office and asked if they offered "agreed value" policies on boats. I was told they did. I asked again... and said "if god forbid... something happens to my boat 5yrs down the road, I want a check for $65K to replace it... NOT a check for $15K.... the current market value". COUNTLESS times I asked this same question, and was ASSURED I would get a check for $65K and this was an agreed value policy.

Fast forward to last week. I get my premium notice, and notice my premium has went DOWN $100/yr! I knew exactly what had happened... they had dropped the value of my boat, which is normal... unless you have an AGREED VALUE POLICY!! Thats the thing, depreciation of the boat doesnt come into play, as you have it insured for an "agreed" amount... NOT the market value. This insurance cost more, for obvious reasons.

Well, I call Jim Ledbetters office and ask why my insurance dropped $100, and was told the boat had de-valued, so the cost of the policy dropped. WHen I asked how they could drop the value of the boat, when I had an agreed value policy... they told me there was no way they would "pay out $65K on a boat that had a current market value of $30K".

So **** YOU Jim Ledbetterand State Farm. You are a lying sack of ****, and have ****ed me out of money and lied to me.... for the last time. I already have my boat insurance transferred to another company, and will move my home and truck insurance to another company ASAP! I will also be more than willing to share the truth with anyone, and warn them of your lies and dishonest tactics. Youre a piece of **** Jim, and dont deserve the business of the good folx of this area!"
