Invoice help

    So one of my duties at work is working/merchandising a office store, we sell t-shirts, mugs, hats, etc. In an attempt to pull some of the prices back into a reasonable range, Ive obtained all the invoices from last year so I could figure out what our costs were per item.

    I have a couple of invoices that have multiple items shipped to us on it, Im trying to figure out cost per item to us to include shipping so I can figure out a reasonable cost

    So I have, for example an invoice that has 12 whatchamacallits, 5 thingamajigs and 7 younameits, total cost $525, shipping is $12.50 for a total of $537.50, do I divide the total number of items into the shipping cost, 12.50/24 for shipping per item?
