Kayak experts

    So been thinking lately that since I dont have anything, nor will I have anything to tow the boat with for atleast 2 yrs, Im considering selling it and going the route of the hippy Mainer and getting a kayak. I know DD and Dale have yaks, but I truly know next to nothing about kayaks.

    From what Ive read so far, I will want something atleast 12', esp being 6'4" and around 205 (on a good day), what else should I think about/consider before I make the change, assuming it actually happens.

    Advantages/Disadvantages of SOT vs Sit In, etc.
