Need Help Selecting a Pistol

    Well, this week down the road from my house a man kidnapped a boy off a school bus after shooting and killing the bus driver. The man is holding the boy hostage in a storm shelter.

    After the news broke of this my wife called me and said she wanted a pistol. So my question is, what is a good pistol for her to carry that is manageable for her?

    I have guns and pistols myself, I just don't keep up manufacturers, models, etc... of pistols.

    Any pointers would be appreciated.
