I can find the Curado 70 XG for less money. I don't need line capacity, and really, I don't understand why bass fishin reels need as much capacity as the manufacturers build.

    The K has 150 yds of 10 # , and 120 yd of 50 # braid.

On all my reels, I use backing. I buy large spools of real cheap mono in 10 # test. Then I fill the reel with the cheap mono, take off 120 feet . Then I wrap the remaining line with electrical tape. Then I fill the spool with whatever line I'm gonna use.

And I've gone all braid, on everything including crankbait rods. If I'm fishin clearer water, I'll just add a flouro leader. And braid lasts forever.

When I was co-angling BFL tournys, my tackle was limited and I went all braid then. I found that if my crankbait rod was glass with a really soft action, it could handle braid easily. And my feel went way up, I caught a lot of fish behind the boater when we were both fishing crankbaits. I think the braid made a huge diff.
