The use of foreign products in our military hardware has been a concern for some time. Part of the reason I went to DC a while back. You aren't allowed to talk about something until it goes public. It is not difficult for me to believe that Chinese parts are turning up in our planes, ships and other equipment. But CONTERFEIT Chinese parts for crying out loud. The US companies who accepted the parts should be held responsible along with the CEO and any other managers who let this happen. This doesn't happen at the worker bee level, it happens at the top. The gov't inspectors and purchasers who bought the goods should also be held accountable. Money was made here by people to the detriment of the country.
A nation as powerful as we are should always have a secure industrial base. All parts for the military should be made in the US. To do otherwise puts the nation at great risk in time of war and at risk of be blackmailed. A warbird that won't fly because another country put a hidden virus in the coding, or minutely changed a tight fitting part has the same effect as being shot down. You want to jump on a bandwagon? This is the issue on which to do it. Make sure you let your elected officials know your feelings and withhold your vote for they don't listen.
