OPOC engine

    "Opposing Piston Opposing Cylinders" seems to be the next big thing. Opposing piston technology has been around for decades. Diesel opposing piston engines were used in submarines in WWII, with some still in use today in the industrial world. The opposing cylinder concept is new, though, and shows some real promise. IF it meets the emissions part.

    Here's a pic of the sub engine turning a natural gas compressor. It has crankshafts on top and bottom.
