paterns , memories, and freakin stupidity

what a freakin morning. 2nd cast on top water I bag a 5 pounder. Then I figure out the fish are in little cuts in the pads and on those points where the pads have some maiden cane close by.GREAT:Cool_thumbs_up: So I'm remembering how I used to use the scientific approach to fishing. The time of year, the weather 3 days prior and todays etc. In Florida it all looks the same and I really haven't tourney fished but once. Was supposed to today but didn't.Anyways, back to the story. So I get to this one place and remember that this is where I caught my 13 pounder and my fishing buddy that passed away. Miss that old rattlesnake to bits !:innocent0001:All of a sudden the fish are nibbling but not eating. Just slapping at whatever I'm throwing. I end the day with a 4 pounder in a different spot and decide to go home.Long story short my partner usually grabs the post at the dock to be helpful, even though I've asked him not to because it screws me up. So I've started dropping the trolling motor before I get to the dock now and use it to tie up.There's 3 people at the dock and they ask how I did and we bs a bit. The water is low so I have to do things a tad different with the boat. Tie off and back the trailer down. Start to drive on and hear this crunching sound. Fu..ing dumb arse forgets to pull the trolling motor back up:head_on_wall::head_on_wall: Took awhile to get the trolling motor off as I'm balancing on the trailer so I can drive it on. So now I have a ripped mount and bent trolling motor. Seriously concerned about the last 2 times out with some stupid things I've done. Winona believes it's a couple of the new meds I'm taking. I believe she's on to something:tooth: Well, it will be awhile before I can afford to get it fixed so please share YOUR experiences on the water with me !:fish2::fish2:
