Postal Match

I haven't heard of these in years and someone today mentioned it. I looked it up and the NRA still has these. When I first got into shooting competition, postal matches were a joke among the shooters because of how easy and how much cheating took place. A lot of new shooters would brag about their postal scores, but would bomb on the range while others were around. Have any of you shot a postal match and if you have, how confident are you that it was scored correctly?
