Question to those that know?

    I installed a new HB 899ciHD SI Comb unit on the left lower part of my 6" Vance Manufactured jackplate. I have a 2000 Stratos pushed by a 2014 175 Pro XS Mercury outboard. My question is I have been getting a fuzzy clouded echo on the left side of the centerline of my SI signal return screen. This picture is in the simulation mode but in the SI normal screen this is the same screen I get with the fuzzy returns to the left if centerline. I have been informed it is the echo from the other side of my Jackplate reflected back. I have run several test and the transducer test good. Unit was checked by HB and test good and updated. Now my question is has anyone heard of or had this concern? I heard a cure for this is to install a Hole Shot Plate on the bottom of the jackplate opening. Thanks guys!
