Rattles and Scents

    I didn't believe all the hype about rattles when they started appearing on jigs so I decided to test and see if they worked. After trying rattles vs. no rattles under similar conditions, I found nothing to indicate that rattles caught more bass. On the contrary, I saw bass avoid jigs with rattles. If you feel more confident using rattles, so be it.

    Scents for lures turned out much the same way. I saw nothing to indicate I caught more bass using scent. I do use scent when fishing heavy grass cover because the scent lubricates the lure and makes it go through the grass much easier. Feel free to write YOUR experience with rattles and scents.
