On Veteran's Day, a lot of us reflect on what took place in our lives. Many of us had a "moment" that changed the path we took. Mr. Pierce of BassCat shared a moment of his with us and I shared one back in a PM. I'll post it here and some of you probably had a "moment too.

Thanks for sharing your "moment" with us. A lot of vets have that moment when something changes their life. As a combat vet, I didn't have that "second in time". However, with the agency did. I had just finished an assignment that was against my moral principles and was thinking of leaving for another career. I just wondered if what I was doing counted. At a reunion, I met the analyst who discovered the missles in Cuba that caused the crisis. Even though he was at a lower level in the agency, the President picked him to give the briefings during the crisis. He said that on the third morning he kissed his family goodbye--never expecting to see them again. People don't realize how close the world came to destruction during that week. What he discovered made a difference and maybe saved a whole world. That was my moment. I stayed and never looked back. People seldom share their moment. I appreciate yours and thought I would give one back.

Friends, I thought I would share mine with you.
