Tell me something funny

O.K., boys, let me just tell you about my last few days:

Wednesday, I was supposed to meet my mom at noon to take my perfect 12-year-old niece back to her mom & stepdad in Atlanta. She calls at 10:30 a.m. and says, "I'm ready to go." With my mom, that means "Please drop every single thing and run, or I'll make your life miserable." So, I did. Between driving through the thunderstorms and pouring rain, and my sister getting off work late, and us driving nearly 30 miles past where we were to originally meet her, then driving OUT in Atlanta traffic at 4 p.m., it was about a squillion hours on the road. :-/

THEN, Thursday morning, I picked up my mom and 3 of my aunts, and we went off on the world's longest yard sale. Those women are 56, 66, 69, and 72...the Golden Girls. We did the yard sale - they wanted to stop every 10 yards or so (and I don't mean 10 people's yards...I mean 30 linear feet). I shop and travel much more like a guy - I've got a list and a highlighted map. That didn't go over so well with the Golden Girls, so my nerves have been shot. We spent the night in Chattanooga and made our way back (10 yards at a time) on Friday.

So, I'm working today, and my students are on my very last nerve. Therefore, SOME of you people need to say something funny to get me out of this funk.

Consider it a public service.
