Terrible Decision

In the intelligence field, particularly in analysis work, it takes years to learn the areas of concern and build up your knowledge. The gov't is paying for your knowledge and decision making ability. So, the longer you do the work and the more knowledge you learn, the better the security you provide to the country. I talked to a former collegue and he said the new hires are being told not to expect to retire from federal gov't. The agency should not be considered a destination job and you are not expected to stay more than 5 yrs. before moving on to the private sector.

This is a terrible decision that affects the security of the country. The idiot that came up with this idea should be treated with "extreme prejudice". An intel term for doing you know what to you know whom. Thank you Pres. Obama for giving us Leon Panatta as Dir. of Central Intelligence. In his new job as Secretary of Def. ( for which he is also unqualified for) he can **** up the military and the rest of our security. One of the most important aspects of the president's job is picking the right people for the cabinet. This president is a failure in that regard. :Thumbs_down:
