Tile floor is not forgiving...

    So the other night for no apparent reason our smoke alarm starts going off. I get up to go see what's going on and to check on the kids. as I get to the doorway of my bedroom, it stops. It has done this before....not sure why. We are all electric so there is no carbon monoxide or anything. not batteries because they are wired. Any way, I don't hear the alarm or the kids so I turn around to go back to bed and next thing I know I am picking myself up off the floor with blood everywhere.
    Apparently I fainted and broke my fall with my face. we have all tile flooring so the first thing to hit it was the bone above my right eye. my eye exploded with blood everywhere. After a trip to the ER and 6 stitches with a massive shiner. I look like I was in a bar fight (would have been a waaay cooler story too).
    Not sure why I fainted. CT scan looked fine. I guess being super tired and maybe getting up too fast is what caused it.
