Tips for Deep Water Docks

My favorite tactic for deep docks and breakwaters at LOZ during the summer is fishing the cables leading to deep water. I use a 1/8 oz. ball head jig with a Zoom watermelon/red finesse worm. I run a rubber band from the eye tie to the barb of the hook to make it weedless. This tactic works well on any lake were there is little cover.

These things I have found to be true:
    1) The bass will always be on the deep water end of the dock or breakwater.
    2) The bass will use the dock cables as cover. They will be parallel to the cable directly underneath.
    3) These are feeding bass.
    4) You will be unable to see the fish on electronics; only the cable.
    5) The smaller fish will bite first. The bigger bass are lazy and wait for food to drop to them.
    6) After a few of the smaller bass are caught the bigger bass will turn on to feeding mood.
    7) You can catch an unbelieveable amount of bass off one dock.

I have had 28 total bass off one dock in a little over an hour. 13 of the bass were 15 in. or larger.
