TM Dilemma

    Took the MG trolling motor in to get a new shaft. The guy had a few rebuilt units that I was looking at while I waited for him to come out. One of the rebuilt units was a Minn Kota Maxxum Pro 101 36v marked at $700. I half way joked with him and said we can just do a trade in and he said we could work something out. So here is the deal on the table.

    3 year old MG Tour Digital 82 24v w/ bent shaft and mount + a 10 year old MG 36v analog tour (that has been used for parts) and mount + $200

    For

    3 year old rebuilt MK Maxxum Pro Digital 101 36v w/ lift assist + 90 day warranty.

    We still have the 3rd battery in the boat from when we had the 36v MG, so working a new battery in is not a problem. I will need to see if I can fix one of the disconnected banks on the charger, though. He said he had completely rebuilt the MK with new seals and bearings. We just replaced one cable on the MG, but not the other, so I'm not sure how long it will last.

    So for $200, is this a no brainer?
