Tomatoes II

Black Krim, Cherokee Purple, Boxcar Willie, Mr. Stripey, German Heritage, JetStar, Big Bertha, Crimson Pixie. The Black Krim, German Heritage and Crimson Pixie are container plants grown in potting soil on the patio. All the heirlooms are about 5 ft. high and look great. The problem is, I have to pollinate every plant by hand. I have seen no pollinators this year. There has not been one bee in my yard. Normally, the yard always has bees in the wild flower garden and in my wife's rose garden. I live very close to woods and creek with beehives near us. The bee trees have no hives this year. Any natural pollination has come from some very small wasp like bugs. Kind of scarey when you realize the nation's food supply depends on bees and butterflies.
