Texas Sharelunker program

I've been critical of this program over the years and have taken grief for doing so. Been told I was just " sour grapes and jealous " . But a lot of my opinion on this came from biologists, who recognize the social value of this program but biologically, it doesn't work. Only two were weighed in last year and the state record has not been broken for , what 25 years , or so ??

I really never had a dog in the fight, until some fishermen became critical of their state's wildlife agency, for not instituting a similar program. Texas has a lot of great lakes with big bass , but its not cause of the Sharelunker program.

With participation dwindling, TPWD needs to reconsider criteria for Toyota ShareLunkers
