Thinned my collection

I donated 3 historic weapons for a charity auction. I was surprised to see that they sold for far beyond their current market value. If you want to help a charity, this is something for you to consider.

1) Tokarev TT model 1934
2) Makarov PM
3) Gryazev-Shipunov GSH-18

All are Soviet era weapons used by their intelligence service. Prior to the KGB, there was no standard weapon for their service.

I have to check on this. I was told that I can deduct the donated weapons on my taxes at the price they went for at auction as long as it is documented. It wasn't my reason for donating but would be nice if true.
